After effects

Note: Work in progress - to be completed ASAP.

The after effects of laser treatment can vary from person to person and will depend on the strength and type of laser used.

You can expect - Redness - like a sunburn.

Spots (whiteheads). Tightness of skin. And soreness.

Recommed to treat the redness and soreness - ?????Aggghhh I've forgotten

After you frist treatment it's recommened that you do not apply make-up for a few days to the treated area. Do not shave for a few days. Use a good facial scrub, with mico-beads. After a few days you can resume shaving.

Do not give in to temptation and pluke hairs - just to see if they are indeed dead.

You should note that after lasering your beard shadow can actually appear darker then before it was lasered. This is entirely normal and will just grow out.

About one to two weeks after intial treatment you should start to notice hairs falling out (Shedding) and thining of you beard shadow. If after the first treatment there appears to be no visual difference in the density or you do not experience any shedding - check with your clinic.

If the first treatment is sucessful and you do experiece a thining and lightening of your beardshadow it should stay light and clear for about 3 to 4 weeks. At which point new hair growth will start to come through and your beardshadow will darken again.

This is one of the resons that it is important to allow enough time between treatments before lasering again - usual 6 to 7 weeks. Any shorter and there is a possiblity you wasting you money.

As there, usual, is less hair on the second treatment it kill - less hair, less nerves - the pain factor should be reduced. With regards to pain - you can rest assured it will hurt however you should put this in perspective - If it didn't hurt you can pretty much be guarteed that it didn't work. Also, compares to SRS laser hair removal is nothing.

The third and subseqent treatments should also hurt less and the redness will be significantly reduced.

You should also be aware that the upper lip are and chin area are the most difficult to remove hair from.
